Restful Outlook

Gold Coast Arts Centre

The Gold Coast Arts Centre is located in Bundall at the Central Gold Coast on a property that includes the local council buildings and lovely picnic and public park facilities.

Outdoor Fitness

Outdoor activity area where people can "keep fit" using various pieces of equipment. Exercise technique is explained on a number of information boards such as the one in the photo

Flying High

Some lucky person is having a birds-eye view. Such perfect weather!

View to Surfers Paradise

View across the Nerang River to the famous Tourist Centre of Surfers Paradise.

Playground in the Sun

Heading north some 20 kms from Burleigh is the Broadwater. Great place to play!

Safe Swimming

This is a "stinger-proof" enclosed swimming area at Southport. Unfortunately the Aussie summer is peak season for a number of marine stingers, so this allows people to swim and keep cool with a much lower risk of being stung.

Giant Goannas

There are lots of fun things for the children. These lizards are among the popular things to crawl over!

Mowing the Sand?

At first I thought this guy was "mowing the sand"! No, he's "sifting" it so rubbish and potentially harmful objects are removed.The area is then safe for young children to play.

Sunshine Coast Hinterland

Also managed to grab a couple of days to head north to the Sunshine Coast (about 2hrs north of the Gold Coast)to visit friends. Here Linda is posing in front of a view to the coast from Montville

Hi Sue, It's hard to believe that it's been more than a year since you were here with us in Toronto. But it's been fantastic following your adventures through the Middle Kingdom. Many thanks for taking me along. I look forward to hearing about your next trip! It's great to see that there are still some people who don't treat life like a dress rehearsal!

Where's the sunshine??
Gee Suzie.... we have sunshine most days but in these photos I can't find it....but.... really like the idea of photos rather then "chat" - after all, a picture's worth a 1000 words..... ir so I've been told! and they're great!!Take care Lovely!
