Two days spent in Alex, a quiet little town in what is the wine and stone fruit capital of nz. Went for a drive to butchers dam along the Clutha river, some lovely slate stone houses, and there was an old mining t at butchers dam. A little bit of snow on the mountains but it was slowly melting.

New years eve we headed to queenstown to pick up our camper, just over an hour to get there. When we got back we went for a canoeMalone the Clutha river from Clyde to Alex, with Clutha river cruises. It was great....not much paddling as the river if fast flowing, Brian and Judith were cheering us along a certain parts which was quite funny.

Quiet newyear as we were starting our adventurous part on new years day.
