Up early - 6:30 - concerned that I would have ample time to get to the Christchurch airport. Extremely strong wind and rain but dorve out of it after an hour. I have to go back to yesterday as I posted the sign "youth hostel". You can tell that the population is graying when 9 out of 10 of the youts (Bob Marley) are over 50. No joke, the place was populated with semi-seniors. I was not the oldest by a long shot. Of course, it is now a little before 1:00, I've been here over an hour and the flight isn't til 2:40
