Up early - 6:30 - concerned that I would have ample time to get to the Christchurch airport. Extremely strong wind and rain but dorve out of it after an hour. I have to go back to yesterday as I posted the sign "youth hostel". You can tell that the population is graying when 9 out of 10 of the youts (Bob Marley) are over 50.
