Today was an orientation day. We started out at the local school. It took 3 minutes to get there walking. We were shown around the school - got the full tour. I was delighted to see the bike rack was packed and not a lock to be seen. We dealt with school uniforms. The girls wear kilts or black pants and a white or maroon shirt. The boys wear black pants and grey golf shirt. There were no kilts available for sale, so Avery and Adrianne will go with black pants for the first while. The kids got a brief introduction to their classes. One gets the sense that there is much less formality here than at Bayview Hill (e.g. Adrianne’s teacher was not wearing any shoes).
