Queenstown to Wanaka

After a hefty night out we packed up the car and headed off to catch up with Dale, who had gone ahead to Wanaka to catch some snow. We drove the 45 minutes down the road, stopping at the site of the first bungy jump to watch a couple of jumpers. The first person backed out and then we watched a tandem jump.

We arrived in Wanaka and checked into our hostel and then waited off the hangovers by going to the cinema. Hands down coolest cinema we have ever been to. Sofas instead of seats and an interval for food from the adjoining cafe! There was even a car you could sit in to watch the film. Awesome. We then met up with Dale and went to rent our stuff for snowboarding the following day.

After a hefty meal we turned in quite early after a good long catch up with Helena and Georgia who we had met in Vietnam and bumped into on Wanaka High Street!
