Left Fraz Josef at 7:30am on route to Queenstown which is a 7 hour bus journey so I decided to break the journey by stopping at Wanka.
On Route we stopped at Lake Matheson which is supposed to give good mirror images not today it was raining again. We then drove through. the fruit picking area. arrived at Wanaka YHA at about 2:15.
planned for two nights.
