Hi, just a quick blog, cos I am falling behind, there isn't enough time in the day for all this hard work!! I have had a busy few days here in Queenstown but the highlight of this week has definately got to be my trip to Milford Sound which is in Fiordland area. It is about a four hour journey, groan.. on a bus from Queenstown, although the scenery as ever is stunning, the road for the last 2 hours is very winding.. not the best idea to eat before you travel... Anyway it was worth it. There are lots of scenic stops on the way and one was at the Mirror Lakes, they have to be seen to be believed, the mountains reflected look as clear in the water as out!! Further on towards Milford is Lake Gunn!! (Famous at last, Neil!!)
The Sound itself is spectacular and we were really lucky to see it in all its glory as we had a cloudless blue sky and topped up the tan nicely. We sailed out to the mouth of the Tasmin Sea., passing waterfalls and seals sunbathing!! The only down side was the journey back to Queenstown, the driver thought
it would be nice to play Riverdance..yes, but for 4 hours!!
Take Care

Wow, Sue, I'm very envious! You really are having such a fantastic time and I'm so pleased. Loving the photos (but where's Marg?!). Missing you heaps in the UK, but so glad that you're enjoying your time in NZ. Have fab time in Christchurch (my old home town!), if you bump into Rodney Latham, tell him I said 'hi'!! Big Hugs from the Long Room. See you soon. much love CJ x
