Hello
Well is been a few days now not sure how many as I keep losing track of time it’s quite hard to keep track. We have been here for 13 days and it does not seem like it. As I say in my last blog we where starting the kiwi experience, well it has not worked out too bad. We had a bit of a problem at the start as it was very busy and all the buses where full so when we arrived in the first few we had to stay there for a few days which was a problem as we have such a tight schedule. We were lucky that one of the buses drivers had a larger bus and could take us and we would be back on schedule. The first week we did not really do that much apart from sit on a coach all day say in a hostel and then get up and yes you guessed it sit on the coach again all day it is really good fun not. Well is not all that bad when we stopped we did have a look around the towns and some of them where quite nice.
The past 3 day has been great fun we have been doing lots of extreme sports again. When we were in Franz Josef I got to go in a helicopter I was mean to be doing a 3 hour hike at the same time but as the weather was not good we could not do the hike. I was not too upset I don’t really like walking but I got to fly to the mountain and get out and play in the snow but not for too long as it was -1 so nice and cold. It was great fun quite strange as it sometimes flies on the side depending on the wind.
We are now in Queenstown and are having great fun. Yesterday we did a luge which is like a go cart but with no engine and you go down a mountain. The first few times we did the easy track but you could still get some speed up and then we move to the advanced track and on that you could really do some speed and on my last got I found out that if you are going too fast that you brakes don’t work
that quickly and when you hit a barrier you can flip the cart and you hit the floor and it does hurt. I manage to put a hole in my new trousers and my new jumper. The trousers I can get away with as they are design to have holes in them so I was styling them but the jumper that does look good so I will wear it until I leave New Zealand.
Today I think has been the best day and if my mum knew what I was doing she would be very worried but as I have already done it she can’t worry or stop me. We did he highest bungy jump in New Zealand call the Nevis. Its 134m to the ground and you do that in 8.4 seconds that’s if you jump. The worst part was watching everyone else jump off but today I was happy what I was heavy as the heaviest people go first so I was 3 they get you to sit in a seat while the set you up this was the most scariest part because there was no turning back and you can see the edge if you have
a look at the pictures you can quite easily see the fearer on my face. After a few minutes I had convinced myself that it was going to be ok and walked to the edge and it does look a long way down. They then said jump on 1 and then they count down 5 4 3 2 1 I jumped and that 8.4 seconds does go very quickly. You bounce a few times but you don’t notice it then you have to pull a cord that flips you up the right way and then they pull you up. So it’s as simple as that as long as you can convince yourself to jump at the start.
This afternoon I had even more fun by doing Jag Air which is acrobatics in a small plain great fun. You do lots of flips loop the loops and god knows what else all I know is that I hit around 4 to 5 Gs in the plain. I was great fun but I did feel a bit ill at the end but it was well worth it.
We are now heading back up now to the north island it will take us few days to get there but I plain on resting for a few days to get on all the sports and my bank balances hurts a lot.
Speak to you soon
