Emerging from the Sand as if being born from the sea the world famous
Moeraki Boulders Sea erosion is exposing the erosion-resistant boulders which were raised from the sea bed around 15 million years ago. They form a perfectly formed ball with a
honey combe center. It is about an hour from Dunedin and 40 KM from
Oamaru Sometimes I have to laugh....going out of my way to see rocks..... but there is a lovely feel to this place... and these boulders are really strange how they're so perfectly formed.
