On to New Zealand
Paul Michael James Drea Well having met up with Jason in Auckland i flew down to Queenstown. Have to admit, its a beautiful place. lots of very nice bars with roaring log fires,(its cold here) !

Winnies bar of course, very nice pizzas. might have another in Christchurch !

Lots of Driving. drove to Te anau and following day to Milford to Kayak.

weather was stunning, enjoyed it a lot but never really got the hang of paddling.

fantastic views along the way. the Homer Tunnel, the mountains etc.

love those Kea birds, very comical. chase one and it runs away rather than flying !

would come back to Milford,Queenstown and Te Anau. sooner the better!

ps, had a great burger too. Ferg burger, huge and very cheap!

didn't get there til after dark and toke these in the morning before i set off for Milford,(sound not Haven)
thats where i was born! West Wales!

really happy at how the colours came out on these.

this little maniac is a Kea. wlaked up to my water bottle and kicked it over.
they walk like they're waearing wellies !

from Kayak level, i was useless, couldn't get the paddling right.
next time will dive here and do the Cruise and observatory

there was a large pod of bottle nose dolphins in the sound, this was a mother and baby, you can see the edge of my kayak in the bottom left cornerr, they were that close!

if this was Aus and that was a saltwater i would have felt very differently! Dolphins are like fire works, they bring out the child in you

Roast Lamb on a sunday, very nice.
