KAIKOURA: Our first night stopover was Kaikoura.

Kaikoura is a stunning little town with a superb setting on a bay backed by the steeply

rising foothills. Kaikoura was once a sleepy little fishing town noted mainly for it's Crayfish.

Whale watch charters started in 1987 putting Kaikoura on the tourist map.

The pics of the seals are all from the trip along the coast to our hotel, sperm whales

can be seen from October to August.

The waterfall was just on the road side by the seals.
