Is massive, thats a couple of miles away.
Got to Franz Josef last night, having taken part in a fancy dress compettion at Greymouth, I dressed up in silver foil and carboard to be a sort of Gladiator (after all Russel Crowe is apparently a Kiwi)
had a 4 bed dorm to myself wonderfull! okay i don't mind sharing with people but for frist time in 2 weeks its kind of cool. mind you last 2 weeks i've generally allready known the people I've shared with which helps.

Went up and onto to the Franz Josef Glacier today, very hard work but unlike for most people it was a lovely sunny type day. Was something pretty special, hard work going up the ice steps etc trying not to fall into crevaces etc, got some good pics, struggling to upload pics on crappy hostel computers (very slow and expensive) but am saving them and emailing to myself so oneday I'll upload (ie at home on free broadband)

Nearly at the end of my Kiwi tour, for Queenstown it's indepence time, its like i've never known any other exsistence but get on bus, get off, walk, get on, get off, go for a cafe with supposidely good pies, get on again etc etc.
