To give some idea of size, it's 2Km away!
The next major stop on the magical mystery tour was the Franz Josef Glacier. A few of us booked ourselves on the full day trekk and off we went to explore. I couldn't believe how big it was and much ice there must be there, it really was astounding. The thing is that after walking over it for a few hours it all just looks the same, I think we could of just done with the 3/4 day tour because by lunch time I was bored. It sounds like a bit of a downer but it is better to just look at the pictures as there's not a lot else to say about it, apart from the fact that it moves at about 1m per day. Which to be fair is a bit special.
