Road Trip to Franz Josef

At last I made it out of Queenstown - only took 11 months! So we headed up the West Coast to the glaciers.

It rained all the way to Franz Josef, but we had to stop to see the sea for the first time since arriving in NZ. There was quite a gale blowing!

Climbing the glacier was good fun

Sadly, due to excessive rain, we couldn't do the full hike, but in 3 hours we got pretty high and the cloud cleared in time for some beautiful views

Found a few waterfalls on the way home too. West Coast - Highly reccommend!
