Helo pawb,

Da ni heb ychwanegu blog ers sbel felly oeddwn i'n meddwl fod hi'n bryd i ni wneud! Ers y blog dwytha da ni wedi gadael De America. Cyn gadael mi oeddan ni ym Mhorth Madryn, Patagonia, a wedi mynechu'r Eisteddfod yn Nhrelew. Roedd hi'n 'save the best til last' fel sa'r sais yn i ddeud, oherwydd ym Mhatagonia gafodd y ddau ohona ni yr amser gora yn Ne America. Ym Mhorth Madryn mi oedd na lawer o yfad, (sori mam) lawer o hwyl i'w gael a llawer o anifeiliad gwyllt i'w weld. Er y diffyg cwsg ar ein noson dwytha ym Madryn (awr o gwsg i fi a dim i Nick) mi oedda ni wedi mynd ar drip i nofio gyda'r 'sea-lions.' Mi oedda nhw fel cwn bach oedd yn licio chwarae hefo'r pobl oedd yn dod i ymweld. chwerthin wnes i rhan fwyaf o'r amser wrth weld un yn dringo ar gefn Nick a fo'n meddwl na fi oedd! Mi oedda nhw'n licio trio tynnu'r snorkle i ffwrdd hefyd a trio tynnu'r flippers i ffwrdd. Profiad rhyfedd iawn ond wedi mwynhau'n ofnadwy (heblaw am y trip cwch i gyrraedd-mi wnaeth y cwrw aros lawr diolch byth!)

Mi oedd Gaiman a Trelew yn gyfnod rhyfeddol hefyd. Ar ol wythnosau o ymdrechu hefo'r iaith Sbaeneg,braf oedd cael siarad Cymraeg, gweld pobl yn cystadlu'n Gymraeg ac yn dawnsio gwerin! Mae'r pobl ifanc lleol wrth ei boddau yn dawnsio gwerin! Ein diwrnod dwytha yn yr ardal roedd yna asado yn cael ei gynnal yn y Gaiman, ac ar ol hynny aeth criw ohona ni i gaffi hufen ia lleol i yfed a cannu caneuon cymraeg, gwrando ar Gwibdaith Hen Fran a CD Cymraeg i blant hefo caneuon fel "awn am dro i brest pen coed." Fel ddudish i, rhyfedd iawn! O'n i'n teimlo fel mod i wedi disgyn i gysgu yn Ne America a wedi deffro rhywle yng Nghymru!

Beth bynnag, roedd huna ychydig wythnosau yn ol rwan a da ni nawr hanner ffordd trwy ein amser yn Seland Newydd. Mi oedd Yncl Arthur ac Meinir wedi bod hefo ni o Auckland hyd at Queenstown. Fedra i ddim mynd trw bob dim da ni wedi ei wneud rwan, ond y mae'r goreuon yn cynnwys cerddad i fynny baldwin street, y stryd fwyaf serth yn y byd! tooomy toobing yn waitomo caves ( lle oedd pobl yn gallu gweld glowworms mewn ogofau a mynd ar rubber rings trwy'r afonydd bach oedd yn llifo trwy y dwr-ddoth yncl arthur hefo ni hyd yn oed!) mynd ar Kayak yn Milford Sound a'r trip Rafftio wnaeth fi a Nick ar afon Kaituna, lle mi oeddan ni yn mynd i lawr rheadr 7 medr o fawr, "the highest comercially rafted waterfall in the world!"

Ddoe mi aeth Nick ar drip i weld y Fox Glaciar, doeddwn i ddim yn ffansio y 600-700 o risiau oedd rhaid ei gerddad felly mi wnes i gerddad o'r pentra i'r glaciar fy hyn (6km) a cyfarfod Nick yna a dwyn set ar ei fws yn ol i'r pentref! hogan ddrwg! wedyn mi wnaethon ni benderfynnu cerddad i Lyn Matheson (12km yna ac yn ol). Fel sa chi'n ddisgwyl mi oedd ein traed a'n coesau ni'n brifo ar ol yr holl gerdded (tua 14-16milltir i gyd hefo'i gilydd ddoe) felly da ni wedi trafeilio i Franz Josef heddiw ac ddim am wneud llawer o gerddad, oherwydd fory mi yda ni'n mynd ar trip i weld y Franz Josef Glaciar ac mi fydda ni ar y rhew am tua 6 awr!

Hi everyone,

We haven’t added a blog for a while so I thought it was about time we did! Since the last blog we’ve left South America. Before leaving we were in Puerto Madryn, Patagonia, and went to the Eisteddfod in Trelew. It was definitely a case of ‘save the best til last’ because we had our best south america experience there. In Puerto Madryn we did a lot of drinking (sorry mum) had a lot of fun and saw a lot of wildlife. Despite the lack of sleep on our final night in Puerto Madryn, (an hour sleep for me and none for nick) we went on a snorkeling trip to see the sea-lions. They were like little dogs that liked to play with the people who’d come to see them. I spent most of the time laughing whilst watching one of them climb onto his back and he thought it was me! They liked to try to take your snorkel off and your flippers. It was a very weird experience but we’d both really enjopyed it (apartfrom the boat trip to get there-lucklily the beer stayed down!)

Gaiman and Trelew was a weird experience too. After weeks of struggling with Spanish it was nice to speak Welsh, se people competing in Welsh and danwsio gwerin! (welsh traditional dance) The young people love dawnsio gwerin here! Our last day in the region we went to the asado in Gaiman, then a bunch of us went to an ice cream parlour to drink and sing welsh songs, listen to Gwindaith Hen Fran and a welsh kids cd. Like I said, very strange! It felt like i’d fallen asleep in south america and woken up in Wales!

Anyway, that was a few weeks ago now and we’re about halfway through our time in New Zealand. Uncle Arthur and Meinir (my elder sister) were with us from Auckland to Queenstown. I can’t go through everything we’ve done now, but the highlights include walking up Baldwin street(steepest street in the word), toomy toobing at waitomo caves (where you use a rubber ring on the streams through the caves to see glow worms-pretty hard work squeezing through the caves and even my uncle came with us!) kayaking on Milford Sound and rafting on the Kituna river, where you go down a 7-metre waterfall, the highest commercially rafted waterfal in the world!

Yesterday Nick did a half-day trip on Fox Glaciar, I didn’t fancy the 600-700 steps involved so I walked there to see the glaciar (6km) and met Nick there and sneaked a lift back to the village on his trip bus. Naughty! We then went to see Lake Matheson (12km return). AS you’d expect, our feet and legs were pretty tired after all the walking (about 14-16 miles throughout the day). we’vetravelled to Franz Josef today and we’ll be doing the full day trip tomorrow, 6 hours on the ice!

The internet is more expensive here in comparison with south america, and the hostels don’t offer free internet, but we’ll try to make a better effort to keep up the blog when we can.

Hello Nick and Helen Great to hear from you, lovely pictures and really great to hear about your adventures. I never would have thought you would both be gadding about on a glacier! Hope you continue to have a great time and get in plenty more walks. just to let you know that I think things are finally moving forwards with 34 Moss Lane, will keep you informed Love from both of us.
