We had a fantastic trip walking the Milford Track with Duncan's sister and her husband last week :-)

The walk is made more exciting by the fact that you have to get a boat in and out of the route, so it feels like an adventure right from the start. Waiting until the "tourist" season finished, there were only about 12 people on the whole path, so we only really saw anyone else in the huts on the evenings, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves.

We had a full range of weather - rain on the first day, snow on the second and sunshine on the third, the view at the pass wasn't completely clear, but the snowy scenary more than made up for it. It was really cold the whole time though - I've never worn so many warm clothes walking before. It's a bit hard to describe it, so I've put on photo's, but it's easy to see why it's considered one of New Zealand's best walks.
