headed down - 1,000m straight downhill is painfull on the legs! We hung around at the Mount Cook visitor center for quite a while, then as we started driving back, we ended up pulling off the road for a while as we couldn't bare to leave the wonderful view of Mount Cook. It was a fantastic weekend; mountains, lakes, tramping, what more could you ask for?!
