the glacier comes down almost to sea level, and is surrounded by temperate rainforest at the bottom.

I was trying to capture the parrot, the glacier, and the rainforest all in one picture. It is an interesting mix of images.

yeah yeah yeah
sandflies, freezing water, jellyfish, I don't know how you can stand living there. As I write, we are into Hour 12 of a Noreaster that has flooded half of NJ. ahem, So..the..visit..with..parents...went...well? Rob -- visited our alma mater last week on college tour. My outstanding impressions were the bowling machine is gone from Holley's and they serve sushi in the student center. keep blogging
