Hello again! We arrived in Christchurch yesterday and spent the afternoon wandering around, checked out 2 small but very nice museums, and then walked around the botanical gardens. It's such a gorgeous little city, with this very cute little river (the Avon) winding it's way around. Today, we went on a tour of a sheep farm, which was very interesting. The sheep were so cute! Then we visited a winery and returned to the city. We just finished a 30 minute punt down the Avon, it was all quite civilized. Tomorrow, we take the much anticipated train trip to Greymouth. According to my guide book, it's one of the 5 best train trips in the world.
Two things: I (Chris) participated in sheep shearing today. Very exciting indeed. Also, Villanova lost yesterday, much to my dismay! I'm hoping to come back from NZ and find them still alive in the NCAA tournament. Tonight, though, I'll have to drink away my sorrows 😉
