The journey from queenstown to Christchurch is the longest bus journey we do in NZ, but fortunately it was broken up by some very pretty stops. First we stopped at Lake Pukaki, which has a gorgeous view of Mt Cook. Then we stopped at Lake Tekapo and a small, old church called the church of the good shepherd. Both of these lakes are a really bright blue caused by glacial flour, which makes them look amazing.

We only had one full day to look around Christchurch so we decided to try to fit quite alot in. In the morning we went to an art gallery, the cathedral and the botanical gardens which were all very nice. After lunch we went for a guided tour around the Museum of Canterbury, which was really good and very informative.

Christchurch is one of our favourite places in NZ as it is a really beautiful city and feels very English (in a good way).
