Hello partay people
Welcome to the last entry of my travel blog from NZ. Yes I know its sad its not long before I come back and there will be no more travel blogs... Stop your crying you hear....No really heres a tissue...oh for pitys sake go outside and pull yourself together....

Last time I wrote I was in Queenstown so from there I went to Dunedin, which is gaelic for Edingburgh and the town layout is based upon Edin. Its very studenty as the best uni in NZ is based there - Otago. The main highlight of Dunedin is the Cadburys chocolate factory tour. Only cost $12 bit of a bargain and because we were a small group gots two of everything. They were currently in production of easter eggs which are made from June to Feb. So next time you buy one think how long its been sitting around in a warehouse! 40m are made just for NZ, enough for the possums to share 1 between 2. The Nz factory makes stuff for the UK as instead of having every factory make every bar they specialise. The Aztec bar is from NZ. they have Moro bars over here which is the Cadburys version of a Mars Bar. You can smell the chocolate around the streets and its lovely. mmmm

Got the bus to Lake Tekapo on Friday and climbed up Mount John with 4 others. The view was mountains all around with a lake at the bottom. The lakes near the mountains are a turqouise colour due to the glaciers. the next day did a wlak through a valley to get a bit closer to Mount Cook (NZ tallest mountain). Windy would be an understatement as I tried to walk across swing bridges and stay upright. Saw a few mini icebergs in the lakes. Pretty cool.

Came to Christchurch a few days ago and after knackering myself out with all that walking decided to get a hire car for a couple of days. Went to Akoroa which is on the Bank pennisula. Its a NZ township that thinks its French as the French were the first to land there. Some of the roads are called 'Rue...' Some lovely shops which I utilised as its all handmade local stuff. Drove across some hairy roads, just stay in 3rd gear going round corners and up and down hills. Yesterday I went to the wildlife park as I havent seen animals in cages for a while. Also to the Antartica Attraction. Christchurch is the base for all Antartica research scientists as its quite near to it. Had a ride on a Huggeland which is what the scientists use to get about. Was pretty cool as went through a 3m deep lake and up a 40 degree incline.
Off to look at the botanical gardens and museum tomorrow.

I hear that the special neighbours episode was on BBC1 on Tues. I hope you all watched it!
Must dash lunchtime is a calling

Karen

PS I noticed by looking on my stats page that the neighbours entry has the highest viewing of 162! You sad sad people.
