The first thing I heard when I walked out of the airport in Auckland was the faint sound of birds chirping. Let's just assume this was the real deal instead of admiting that it was probably the airport music. As I walked towards the shuttle bus that was to take me into the city, I realized that this is it - after all the planning and anticipation and nervousness- I was here... In New Zealand!! I've spent the last hour just walking around the CBD (central downtown) and taking in as much as I can! Up next - the hostel!
