SAT - up early and onto Waitomo met back up with Lies and PJ, bus isnt so great, drivers a bit meh too (hence his name Nana), nevermind. Got to Waitomo fairly early, me and Will bumped into Ralph again :D so stole him and took him to the Shearing Shack where Thumpers mum shears Angora Rabbits!! Insane rabbits!! huge fluff balls!! they get tied up to a roasting spit and turned as they're shawn with a sheep shearer!!! crazy crazy!! went for a walk afterwards with will and ralph, had so much fun, havnt laughed so much for a while :D Ralph is piss funny, as is Will, there was a moment when Ralph was bent double laughing at Will (saying he was Aragorn who had let himself go and formed a punk band called Aragorn and the Orcs) and i was bent double laughing at Ralph laughing at Will!!! ahh man, good times, wish you all could meet him!! 😊 left Waitomo late afternoon and onto Maketu for our cultural night at Uncle Boys. Had the Hangi - traditional Maori meal - wasnt all that great, not much of it and they didnt even have kumara 😞 then the kids gave us a cultural performance, was pretty cool, and fairly good considering only one of them had performed before and the group had only just got together that night. we then learnt stuff, half the girls learnt a dance and song with the poi, the lads (all 5 of them) learnt the haka and i and the rest of the girls learnt a stick thing - throwing sticxks around basically - was a good laugh. Uncle Boy then talked to us about Maori culture and all that. Later at night me, Will and Jack - irish guy - went for a walk down t the beach, saw lights bobbing around and advanced with caution, turned out to be night fishermen, stood asnd chatted ont he ebach for a while and then went back and to sleep in the hall 😊
