SUN - woken at 7am by Abba blaring out - Uncle Boys fav band...very traditional maori of course! - collected Feijoa in the morning (fruit, weird but nice) then drove onto Rotorua. Bigger place than i thought and less smelly than i imagined! (geothermal area, sulphurous, therefore smelly, eggs and various other nasty smells) Wandered around for a few hours with Will, PJ and Lies then I got dropped off at Funky Green - backpackers - bye to Lie and PJ (will see Will again in Taupo). Did my laundry and showered, waited for Dave to arrive (his week off from CVNZ), I chatted for ages with our room mate Ross, fromChicago, then had food and chatted more with Ross, Dave and 2 others, mainly about diving, Ross came out to Oz and NZ to dive more, then bed pretty late, very tired!

MON - raining today so we (Ross, Maive - irish girl we gathered up - Dave and me) went tothe museum, was pretty cool, insane what they used as treatments back in the day! the maori section was really interesting, had loads of old carvings from maraes and even a nazi flag which had been signed by soldiers from WW2! Back to the hostel for food, bumped into (literally) Carina - vol from before xmas!! - randomly, funny to see her again 😊 then went to the Polynesian Spa having gathered a big crowd of about 8 of us, one of them, Ian, was from Beauly near Inverness!! mental! Stayed in the pools for ages!! from 7.30 til 11pm!!! my ring went black and my feet obtained a mountain range from wrinkles!! so relaxing 😊 feel rejuvinated!
