Mt Aspiring.
I love the mountains that surround Viv and Charlie's, although this was taken on telephoto, the views and atmosphere are fantastic. Hi. In late March we went down to Wanaka to stay with Viv and Charlie for a couple of weeks. For the last few day we were joined by Annemarie and Corado. For most of the time we had very good weather although as autumn approaches the mornings and evenings are certainly getting cooler. Also the trees are starting to show the colour that they are renowned for. We did a lot of walking, cycling, eating and drinking and most of all talking. Mark and Carrie Elliot came and stayed as well for a few days so good to catch up with them. One of the main reasons for going down was to attend the House and Garden Tour of selected house's in Queenstown and Arrowtown. It was a fantastic day of looking at dream houses and gardens, all of which were in absolutely magic settings. There was a cross section of very modern houses, old cottages which have been given a new lease of life, holiday homes, traditional homes and very different styled homes. Fascinating really and a couple of them I just loved, mainly the settings looking over beautiful river valleys and wonderful gardens. Quite jealous really. So it
Ready to Ride.
Ready to take off on a ride to Lake Hawea was a great couple of weeks and then we came home for Easter, which we had with Holly and Ella, as Amy and Jeremy went off to Australia to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. We had great fun with the Easter egg hunt and lots of visits around Wellington including the zoo. Now at the time of writing this, mid April, the weather has certainly taken a turn toward winter. I had better get used to it as it is 2 months before we head of to the northern hemisphere for their summer. Looking forward to that. Catch up soon Rod/Pip
