Bottom of the North Island

This consisted of being picked up from the hostel and a long boring drive to the poor weather. On arrival at Wellington we visited Mount Victoria where we could see the views of Wellington, not good as we were in the clouds. Stopped at the Nomads hostel for 3 nights, first day was spent at the Tapa museum which is over 6 floors and took all day to go round excellent value as there is no cost.
On the Sunday most of the shops are closed so went up on the cable car to the botanical gardens then walked back to the city. where I watched the Xmas Parade which lasted for a good hour.
