Well it has taken two years but finally we are about to head back to Spain to finish the Camino from St Jean Pead de Port through to Santiago on the Spanish Atlantic Coast.

This time our friends Jenny and Ross Shaw are travelling with us to witness the fact that we will finish what we started.

We are very excited and slightly nervous as we hope part two is as great as part one. It has so much to live up to.

Bags are being packed, longer and longer walks are occurring and the anticipation is growing. All we have to do now is get seats on standby travel - it will happen.

We leave on Tuesday 19 May and start walking again on May 23. Once on our way we will send a blog each day.

Catch you soon

Best wishes
Hope all goes well. It would be great to catch up with you while you're in Europe but I realise this might be difficult (impossible :-)). Enjoy the trip.

Walking the Camino...
I plan to walk the Camino in 2016 and have been reading the blogs of fellow TBers to learn from their experiences. My latest post has my plans based upon that research. I just ran across your blog and am looking forward to reading of your blogs from Castrojerez to Santiago. I would think one of your lessons learned would be to start out slowly and increase your distance as your body adapts. Please confirm or advise otherwise. I would love to learn your other lessons.

Hi there We have changed blog applications. We are on the Camino now check us out on www.rammells.wordpress.com Not a bad idea starting out slowly. John Brierly book is very good but has big distances as most people only have so much time. If you have plenty we would suggest planning your trip for max 20 - 25km/day. If there is one think we have learnt it is that it seems the same tiredness no matter how long the day is 15,25 or 30. It's a mental thing. Get on the road by 0630 then by lunchtime you will have broken it's back. Look forward to catching up with you on our new blog. Mark and Fiona
