This is a small rose garden situated at 97A Anzac Parade. It is opposite Kowhai Park which you will be visiting if you have children with you.

I have visited many stunning rose gardens in NZ but this isn't one of them. If you have been to the ones such as those in Hamilton or Te Awamutu, you will be disappointed with this one. It is small and just not very impressive. It feels more like a memorial garden. It certainly isn't worth going to unless all the roses are out in bloom late in the year. You won't need to spend much time there. Keep going and check out the gardens in Palmerston North if you are heading south.
