In the bush
Following on from our stay at Rotorua we headed west to a tiny place called Waitomo. This place is famous for the massive network of limestone caverns that are below it. There are over 300 mapped caves in the area, which is quite a few

We took the oppotunity to have a go at black water rafting. This is like whitewater rafting but in an underground cave system. They give you a rubber ring and then off you go through a tiny hole in the ground!!

It was really good, we had to jump off waterfalls in our rubber ring and the caves are home to loads of glow worms. The water was of course completely freezing but the whole thing was excellent.

The next day we went on a bush walk through a forrest / valley and into more caves. After this we went and watched a white Albino Angolan rabbit get shaved, of course what else can you do?.

As you may have guessed there is a wide variety of stuff to do in New Zealand.
