Skiing on Mount Ruapehu

We managed to persuade Catherine and Hugh that although this is an exciting place to learn about volcanoes because some of them are relatively active, it's also perfectly safe to ski on them. Everyone loved it and despite atrocious conditions we had one of our most memorable days - so good we spontaneously went back for more the next day.
