Corrado rests from towing duties.
We drove up to Taupo, towing a boat for Corrado, which took 6 hours with a couple of stops but a good trip over all. Annemarie and Corrado had rented a house in Acacia Bay for a couple of weeks so we joined them. I do love Lake Taupo, not only for it's fishing, which is world renowned, but for its beauty and it's atmosphere which makes you want to get out and enjoy the walks. We did get out in the boat, but did little fishing with no results, so spent time out pottering about and enjoying the secluded bays with Di and Annemarie. Di and I looked at a few houses for sale around the Lake, as we tend to do these days, and on Friday, Jon, Carina and Little Sadie arrived. In the evening Carlo and Sarah arrived with their young ones, James and Amelia, so we had a full house for the next few days. Caught up with Christine and also saw Michael a few times. Paul and Hana, along with Katie arrived down From Cambridge for a days visit so the kids spent lots of time in the water, loving it. Laurie also hoped down to

see the family. So good catching up with family. I walked every morning, a different route every day, and enjoyed the bush walks or the walks along the Lake. I haven't been up to Taupo for a couple of years and it reminded me of how much I do love being there. Caught up with brother Nick and Lonnie at their holiday home and when we dropped in again on our way home Charlotte was there with her two, Lucy and Ben. Once again, great to catch up. Back at home we had Amy, Jeremy and the kids arrive on Friday so Amy and Jeremy could go to a 40th birthday for one of Amy's college friends. They flew home on the Sunday leaving Holly and Ella with us for the last week of school holidays. They fly back home on Friday. So. All in all, a busy Christmas, New Year and January. Starting next week we have to get back into our normal routine in a very quite house. Pip/Rod
