Today it was a "park day". We spent most of our day at Hamilton's Gardens, really very nice park with a variety of sub-parks with themes from all kind of origens: chinese, japanese, english tudor, italian renaissance, from india, maori (of course), etc. All very well done. A visit worthwhile.
We were fortunate that the park featured a model train show. Older man and women showing of their model trains and scenaries built around it reminded us of a brother in law.
A scene in the park particularly draw our attention: Kiwis are nature lovers and tree huggers, but the dressing of trees in our opinion takes things a bit too far (see foto).
Further little else to report, maybe with the exception of a quote out of the story, that we found on a statue of Alice in Wonderland in the Hamilton Gardens. It oddly seems to apply to our situation regarding to the Australian visa: "If you don't know where you are going, any road will take you there".
