Day 31 - Sunday 20th May 2007

Woken up by the sound of trucks some time in the early morning! Apparently there was a fishing competition, so all the boats were launching near to our van! Porridge, porridge, good hearty breakfast!!

Sar drove into 'town'. We strolled around looking in some of the really cute little shops! There was an amazing bead shop there!! Only bought one each! Fatsos sar, gem and nik bought some chips with various extras! We stopped down the road out of town beside the sea to eat. Sensible amz had some soup and bread! We wished we had after......

The drive along the east coast of the Corromandel Peninsula was very pretty and generally quite different to the west. It was very windy in parts and hilly, but in other parts, the road was right on the sea edge...especially near Thames.

Drove up to Auckland to stay, so we would be close to see Nikki's cousins the next day. Same naughty trick at the campsite again!! Naughty naughty!!
