Whakatane

A quick stay in Whakatane. Why? To go "Dolphin Bothering" of course. Well this time at least there WERE dolphins. We headed out in a very fast boat to where the Ganets were diving and found several large groups of dolphins. Unfortunately they were feeling a little anti-social so when we braved the freezing water they only circled us a couple of times before swimming off. Apparently we were about three days too late when they had hundreds of them staying to play and even some Orcas showing up. Anyway, we got to see a lot of dolphins in between the chronic shivering.
