Today we were up again at 4 am for to get to the Sydney airport for our flight to Aukland, New Zealand. There was a 2 hour time change so by the time we traveled to the airport, caught our international flight from Australia to New Zealand, passed through customs in New Zealand and had the 2 your time change, it was 4 pm before we reached our hotel in Aukland.



The weather is quite different at 70 degrees, from Sydney, which was to be a heat wave at 100 today. New Zealand has a total population of 4.5 million with Aukland one of the larger cities at 1.3 million.



After checking in to our hotel, we went on a short walking tour of the immediate area and went to dinner at a local restaurant on the harbor. Very good food, very nice setting. Tomorrow begins our tour of New Zealand which I expect to very interesting.
