Everyone has been working really hard to ensure that no stone is left unturned in our preparation for the tour; musically and administratively, we have burnt the midnight oil to ensure that everything goes well and we have a successful and fulfilling tour.
The Auckland Girls’ Choir is an Auckland-wide community choir, formed in 1998, to cater for female youth, 8 - 16 years of age, with a love of singing. The girls come from the greater Auckland area and represent many different ethnic and social backgrounds. Entry to the choir is by audition where both oral skills and musicality are assessed.
The choir’s repertoire covers a wide range of musical styles. Choral techniques are part of the regular training programme and include breathing, posture, diction, interpretation, sight reading, pitch accuracy, rhythm and general musicianship.
