In October I had the privilege to fly home to NZ for a wedding of a very special friend. Kezia and I have been friends for almost 20 years, which just sounds too much that I have had to recount numerous times, but it’s true.
Kezia is the type of friend that fills your freezer with yummy cookies when you’re out of the country. She is the type of friend that while hiking up Kilimanjaro with your husband she talks so much about how great you are, that your husband rings you just to tell you how awesome you are. She is the type of friend that makes you a mixed CD for your car and includes Dave Dobbins “Welcome home” the song that makes you weep in rush hour Nairobi traffic. She is the type of friend that encourages, inspires and uplifts. She is the type of friend that when you go for a walk/talk it takes so long that you witness a lamb being born in the 2 hours it takes for you to finish talking/walking. She is the type of friend that you pray finds a man that appreciates her and values her for who
she is, that can build her up and encourage her to be who God has created her to be. She is that friend 😊 And it was such a joy, amidst study and illness that Charlotte and I could share in Chris and Kezias special day.
