Bit foggy but i think it looks quite cool!
hello all!
I have a little more time just now so i thought id let you know a little bit more about Hong Kong and the beginning of my new zealand adventure!
Well we arrived in Hong Kong jetlagged and tired but we still had an activity packed first day. me and some others got a cable car across the mountains to see the giant buddha in Kowloon, it was a little foggy but we still got a pretty good view! the scenes over the mountains of hong kong were amazing. The buildings are absolutely huge, some of the tallest i have ever seen. There are no houses as everyone lives in tiny apartment blocks its crazy. We also went to a traditional market and they sell the funniest things, chicken feet and unidentifiable meats. Safe to say i didnt buy any. It was quite horrible in parts because the fish were still flapping around on the chopping boards ugh. On the second day we explored more and went out to a chinese meal together, there was squid and things but i wasnt quite brave enough to try. We set off the next day to auckland, another tweleve hour flight! Didnt

actually feel as long as it was. Arrived in auckland yesterday. Hostels are a little scary especially staying with people you dont know, but theyre really well equipped with laundry facilities and computers etc. Went to orientation this morning where we got told loads about travelling and what to expect. Got a new zealand bank account and tax number so i can start work whenever. My plans for the next little while have also changed : me and some others have booked the kiwi experience bus which takes you all over the country and is full of other travellers and you can hop on and off wherever you want. I start my tour the day after tomorrow at seven in the morning, and my first stop is up north in the bay of islands where me and polly are going to find fruitpicking work. Then ill travel back down and through south island then arrive back in north at the beginning of june to hang around with anna for a while. My return flights are booked, leave auckland on the 4th july, then im in LA for a week and get back to london on the 11th. Well thats about
