Last Blog from Tokyo.
Monday 26 January last day in Tokyo. Took taxi and had a trip to the Imperial Palace. Sadly Palace gardens not open on Mondays!! However walked around outside gardens which were filled with trees constantly being pruned - topiary on a huge scale! - beautiful. Walked up to Nijubashi Bridge - acres of space and very peaceful - incredible city. Took train back to Hamamatsucho Station (getting really used to the trains). Airport bus collected us from hotel dead on time (as everything is) and took us the airport. Had Japanese meal with chopsticks before boarding the plane. Left at 9.00pm - 8.5 hour flight to Brisbane - transferred to another flight which left at 9.00 local time on Tues 27th and arrived in Auckland at 4.00pm (local time) we are now 13hrs in front of you. Had taxi to Hotel in Auckland - wonderful huge room, bed and wet room!! Pretty shattered so early to bed.

News about the next stage of our journey to follow - although as we will now be in a motor home rather than hotels it will always depend if and when we have connection.
