Auckland

Since Hyatt was so accommodating with our extra bag, we ended up with a free day. We went down to the DOC and got some more brochures on hikes that we are interested in taking. The lady there was interested in how our adventures were going so far and wants us to stop in when we come back through Auckland in January.
We walk around town and have lunch at the Mexican restaurant again just in case we don’t see another one for a while. Since it is a fairly clear day, we go up in the Sky Tower, which is the tallest tower in the southern hemisphere. Then back to the hotel where we get ourselves together to take off for the next few months.
We have dinner at a little Turkish restaurant, back to the hotel, send a few e-mails (Michael does his fantasy football). I send an e-mail to the couple we met in Fiji that live in Rotorua telling them we will call them when we get there.
