We traveled 12 hours and 45 minutes over the ocean. The plan trip was very uneventful and actually went by rather quickly. We were taken to our hotel in Auckland and decided to rest and relax for a couple of hours. After that, we went out and walked around the city and bought jackets for the colder weather we will be hitting tomorrow in Queenstown. I was really tired so we came back to the hotel and ate dinner in the room. I fell asleep at 6PM and did not wake up until 3:30 AM. We dozed until 5 AM. We redid some of our packing, dressed, ate breakfast and headed down to wait for the bus that was taking us on our trip to Rotorura. We stopped in the Ruakuri Cave. It was beautiful and it has glowworms. From the cave we drove over the most incredible countryside we have ever seen and arrived in Rotorura about 4:30 PM. We took a shuttle over to city center and had dinner. We are now back in the hotel and getting ready for another busy day tomorrow.
