The Viaduct Area
This was taken from afar by Pinky during her ferry ride back to Auckland Central from Devonport. 4 April 2007
Our flight to Auckland from Sydney was fantastic. Chief and I arrived in our new home at 11:30pm and there we immediately saw Pinky eagerly waiting for us. The shuttle fare from Auckland Airport to our place in Auckland Central cost us $16 each ($32 in total. No discount for Chief was given even though he is a minor). This is far less expensive than the expected taxi fare of $50 to $70 for the same route.
The apartment is beautiful and has amazing views of the wharf and the harbour bridge. The views can be seen from the lounge room, the balcony and in one of the rooms. Pinky and I told ourselves that our lifestyle has changed a little bit for we are not used to city living and the "lifestyle of the rich and famous". I guess we all have to experience something different in the way we live our lives one way or the other and this is our time (just for a shortwhile though). We indeed had to pray and thank the Lord God for such a wonderful opportunity and blessing of experiencing living in New Zealand. Our area is
a stroll at the wharf
This is a typical view one could see while at the wharf. very similar to Darling Harbour and Circular Quay in Sydney. There is night life of course since there are plenty of restaurants and pubs encircling our apartment block.
As we arrived very late at night, we all decided to get a nap by 1:00 am the next day.
