on the ferry to Rangitoto, bye bye Aucklandcant believe already had a month here!!!!!!!!!!!!
SUN - went to rangitoto island with fellow vols 😊 was brilliant, tis the most recent erupted volocano of them all in North Island. Was beautiful, massive Pohutakawa forest on the lava fields (some bits a lil like iceland), stunning weather aswell - little hellish though as we marched full speed to the summit (did an hours advised walk in 40 mins!!) dripping with sweat...lurvly 😊 worth it when we got to the top though 😊 amazing views of auckland and surrounding areas. knackered my hip doing this though...not so good, hardcore limping now 😞 ill put up the pics, hopfully today...but you know me, could be anytime!!
team this week was me, kate, mike, katy, charlotte 18 belgium, nice but a tad odd, linda, philippa, peter, wanda and monika.
MON - got melody back again, tis her last ever week of being a team leader as her contract has run out, we were gagging for her back after last week, made her look so much better than she is after Peter!! Most beautiful place here, Huia in the Waitakere Ranges, got the best of both worlds as theres a bay/beach/sea and forested
mountains! absolutely fantastic!!!!!!!!!! when we got here we climbed a path to the top of a peak/look out point (hip killing me) to look around, fab views, then worked our way down clearing the path, i couldnt do much at all so had to go back to the van and wait for everyone 😞 Later in the evening me and kate had our alone time together and went down to the beach, beautiful at night as the moon was out and so bright it gave us shadows like a bright midday sun would!! shame it was so bright as we couldnt see the stars!!
TUES - cleaned the beach today, stunning, massive stretches of black sand! walked miles (bad for my hip but i survived and i think the walk back on the sand helped it as it hurts less i can walk normally again but it is still twanging) picking up litter (nice as it was few and far between, not like beaches back home) sunny day aswell 😊 due to hip and expanse of beach i was way behind and alone all day apart from breaks, was great as had proper alone time and started to sing
alot hehe, havnt sung for a while, thought id take advantage 😊 Had alone time at the beach again today, moon wasa beautiful again, took so many pics of it! Mike didnt come out this time, was a bit gutted when he saw my pics though
WEDS - beltin day today!! we worked on a farm up the road, i docked a lambs tail!! there were six to be done, 3 males and 3 femals, i had a female, kate got a male and had to castrate him aswell as dock 😊 cuddled another lamb, so cute! me and mike dug out and evil big weed which scratched ours arms but we got it in the end! shoveled oyster shells round chook coups and herded sheep (that went well...was so funny!) got a takeaway tonight - nice treat off melodyas is her last week and she doesnt care anymore!! had fish n chips (kumara chips, v nice)
THURS - cleared a path in a park today, v nice park (Cornwallis) down by the beach, great fun ripping out japanese honeysuckle with kate and wanda! ha! cutting down gorse aswell, my gloves are great as cant feel the throns

Kate and the Orange With The Face at all, mind you, could when i sat on them!! ouch! sat under the bridge by the ford today for alone time with kate as was raining 😊 good crack 😊
FRI - dug a drain next to Huia museum today before we left. got ack to mouint albert by 10.30!! so early! did nothing then out to auckland for night out, last night for monika, philippa, peter, linda and mike 😞( gutted!! love them all! massive hug off mike at the end of the night, had so much fun :D hopfully will see philippa and linda nextweek as theyr only travelling for a week around south island 😊
today done nothing aprat from internet and have still run out of time so cant upload photos today, may try and get on tomorrow after devonport
