Mid life crisis
Aah! Now we understand all about the world tour......... "Things I must do before I am 40". NZ sounds blissful, seems like the place to be. Wonder whether we can sail our boat there? Really enjoying your tales and photographs......Enjoy!!!

Fond memories
Your blog brought back great memories, we did pretty much the same trip in 1989 (was it really 20 years ago!!) and have wanted to repeat it ever since. After reading your blog we will be booking tickets! What a fantastic place it is....

I remember it well!
I have some pretty similar photos taken only a couple of months ago - Kaiteriteri beach (wasn't it spectacular), same pic on the way to Farewell Spit. I think we may have stayed at the same campground in Christchurch and visited the same cinema! Next time do Doubtful Sound even more spectacular than Milford! We are now planning the next holiday to NZ and also looking at a possible permanent escape there!
