Our last few days in Fiji were really fun and relaxed. When we got to Nadi we got a really nice room which we deserved, we ate loads from being starved on the island for 3 weeks! Our flight to New Zealand was short, but we were sitting next to a really smelly old man who kept farting! New Zealand has been awesome since getting our tent through the biosecurity! Were staying in the city centre in a huge room with massive windows that we managed to get cheaper than an 8 bed dorm, so its only 7 pounds a nite! We spent out first day exploring the city and welcoming the rain after being in heat for so long! In the evening we watched rugby but felt really run down so decided to have a big lay-in the next day! When finally woke up we noticed everything was dark! We looked out onto the streets and the traffic lights were not working and every shop and restaurant was closed! We went out into the hallway of our hostel and everything was pitch black! So we went back to bed...turns out there was a power cut in the whole city and surrouding suburbs, power came back later that afternoon! We then went up the sky tower as we got free passes with our bagain hostel. It was a really fantastic view but the glass floor showing a straight drop down to the road beneath was really scary!! Today its pouring with rain so were going to the cinema tonight and will explore the city futher... We leave for Sydney on Thursday and will meet Alex and Nick there at some point
