Finally, after clocking up enough airmiles to fly from Heathrow to the M4, Junction 4, I landed at Auckland airport around 24 hours ago, along with my bag which was always good... Haven't done much. I got a cab to the hotel and after unpacking sat down to watch a bit of TV and promptly nodded off for 4 hours. After that I went to do a bit of shopping then fell asleep again till the morning. I'm slowly adapting to the time (11AM Friday morning), but am having a quiet day today, just getting a few bits ill need. Thats about it for now. Till next time...... read more

הלו אנשים מה המצב???? אני עכשיו עדיין באוקלנד... בזולה של החיים. כול יום קמים.. בודקים שחיים עדיין בחניה. אוכלים טוסטים משופרים עם כוס תה. יורדים להסתובב קצת בעיר.. מבררים פה על המכירה..שם על סידורים.. בצהריים אנחנו חוזרים לאכסניה ורואים פה על מסך פלזמה אליפות אוסטרליה הפתוחה בטניס... ואז "חברים" בערב ואז כבר מגיע זמן ארוחת הערב.. בשר בלי סוף ושאר דברים טעימים מתקלחים והולכים לישון. - כן...אפשר להגיד...ואני גאה בזה.. שאני יושב כל היום ועושה בערך כלום.. ואפילו נהנה מזה!!!! אתם ידעתם שדודי סלע כמעט ניצח את מספר 25 בעולם בטניס... בטח שלא ידעתם כי אתם יושבים ורואים חדשות..על זה ששני מטומטמים כמו פרץ ואולמרט בברוגז.. אחח...איזה מדינה יש לנו..ממש קומדיה. אבל אני ידעתי את זה ואפילו ראיתי כמעט את כל המשחק :) אתמול מצאתי את עצמי מדבר עם איזה סטודנט עירקי פה על ישראל.. ועל ... read more

אאאאאווווקקקייייי....אז מה עשינו מוולינגטון עד אוקלנד?? שנתחיל? אחרי לילה בקמפינג במקום שאין לי מושג איך קוראים לו ליד וולינגטון וחצי יום התפרקדות בשמש ביום שאחרי הגענו למשפחה ל ההיט שלנו. לקח לנו שעה למצוא את הבית אבל הצלחנו לבסוף. קיבלו אותנו בשימחה עם מית קר ושוקולדים. והראו לנו את החדרים. כשהם יצאו לעבוד בגינה באתי מתוך נימוס והצעתי להם עזרה. והיא לקחה את זה בשיא הרצינות ונתנה לנו להתחיל לגזום איזה עץ שהפריע לנוף. כשסיימנו באתי ושאלתי אותה שוב - מתוך נימוס אם יש עוד משהו. ואחרי 5 דקות מצאתי את עצמי עם מעדר חופר בור ועוקר עץ ענבים ע-נ-ק ושותל אחד חדש. אמרתי עד כאן - ואחרי זה ההפסקתי להיות מנומס ולא שאלתי לעוד רעיונות שלה :) משם הלכנו לאכול ערב ארוחה שהייתה דיי נחמדה. בשר שתיה אבל יותר מכל - סלט חסה טרי וטבולה. ... read more

Firstly apologies for the gaps in my blog - but I don't always get time to give you all the attention you deserve. As I attempt to catch up it seemed odd to be writing about Australia when I am now in New Zealand, so I thought I would get up to speed on NZ and then backtrack to Melbourne and my trip from Sydney to Melbourne. Look! It's Saturday the 23rd in 13 minutes. In twenty-four hours Karina and I will be in Tokyo... I'm trying really hard not to put exclamation marks after everything. My head hurts. Alright, to be half useful, I'll see if I can post the names of the places we are staying, as they were all chosen after a fair amount of deliberation and wallet-conscious research. Tokyo: Sakura Hotel. Has a pink website with a foreboding banner filled with pasty europeans (just like us). Apparently it's cheap and clean. And pink. Hakuba: Hakuba Powder Lodge. Run by a guy called Nick. Check out www.snowjapan.com for more, um... japanese snow related things. Forums are intimidating for n00blets. Nagoya: Petite Ichifuji Ryokan (or PIR for short). Pre-Flight Check - Japan in 4 days! The hardest thing about planning this trip has been the constant distraction of employment. I'm stuck with a handful of deadlines with four days of work left. At least one of these days will be allocated to heavy drinking in and around the office, where the boss touches the young male staff...
