Well seems like ages since we last blogged but thats NZ for you it costs so much to get online and when you do its so slow.....funny how Vietnam does it so well yet they cant manage it here.
Our time is up here and we have just handed our camper back so spending our last night in our little trusty tent that we get in oz.
We have had a great time here really relaxed and loved just spending time together in beautiful surroundings.
We have tried not to spend too much money here so have done alot of long walks in the mountains or round lakes and so on. However the one thing we knew we wanted to do was go on a wale search so we booked up a boat trip....they warned us that it was really rough on the sea that day but hey we survived a cyclone so whats a few big waves. There were quite a few Chinese girls on board throwing up loads which was amusing for me as we all know how much lee loves to hear people throwing up. After about 10 mins on the boat they told us to go
out side and there it was a giant sperm whale just floating along side the boat it was so incredible we couldnt believe it finally we paid to do something that we actually received. The whale sat there for about 10 mins then slowly raised his tail and nose dived down I got an amazing photo it really was the highlight of the trip. We also saw literally hundreds of dolphins too all around our boat some were even doing somersaults so goes to show they do it without being taught even in the wild.
We have seen lots of places I know ryan would have loved they have lots of thermal rocks and springs here and volcanoes so you can walk round a forrest and come across boiling mud pools and steaming rocks...it really looks like you are walking around in the time of the dinosaurs and on the moon at the same time. We have chilled in thermal pools which are naturally heated some even up to 42c too hot to sit in for long and often way too smelly they smell like rotten eggs because of the sulphur but good fun anyway and all the veg
we have been eating Im used to the same smell from lee!!!
A few days ago we went on a caving trip which included abseiling and climbing and tubing in the caves which is sitting on a rubber ring and let the river take you down into the caves. The caves were full of glow worms so when you look up in the pitch black it looks like stars even when you are hundreds of meters down.
WE have ended on a good note as a crazy Irish couple in their 50s supplied us with wine and beer last night the only alcohol we have had for 4 weeks and we were given stake by a couple that didnt need it so we have had a good ending memory of our time here.
Newzealand has been amazing and a great relax but I think we are tired of travelling now there is only so much you can do before you start thinking well we have seen this and that....think we are just a bit spoiled for all the things we have done. Lets hope Fiji brings us just what ever it is we need.
Gonna leave it
there even tho a good friend PJ recently suggested that our blogs are way too short for his liking!
Hope you are all well and that the weather is getting better because its only 6 weeks till we are back no wooo hooo.
love you all
