Hi Guys!!

We've just left Fiji and arrived in Auckland for our New Zealand adventure!

We landed in Nadi by 5:10am and 20 minutes later we had our whole trip planned and paid for with this lovely lady called Vera at the airport. We stayed in Nadi for our first night, which isn't the nicest of places but we travelled to the Yasawa islands the day after so it was ok for the one night!

The first leg of our journey took us to Nabula lodge based on Nicula Island. The ferry took 4 1/2hrs and we loved every minute, the weather was amazing and the views were superb. Whilst on the island we were taken on a village tour where we met the chief, who was basically the don of the whole island, ran the show and from all accounts had the pic of all the women. We also went to the beach where the blue lagoon was filmed - no sign of Brook Shields though. We also met two lovely couples whilst we were based there (we have to say that as we are adding them to our mailing list!)

On our third day we took a two hour trip back towards Nadi to the Waya Islands and the Sunset Waya. Here we met Moses who was a one man band who ran the show. There wasn't anything he couldnt do, sticking 6 plates to his chest, singing made up songs, playing instruments etc! We also went reef shark feeding - we would like to lie and say we swam with the sharks and fed them but David and Sarah the couple we went with will probably read this and prove us wrong! Basically Mark went in the water and saw a shark and some lovely coral reef and other fishes and I chickened out and stayed in the boat! Ah well! We also went to a church service on the Sunday and had to wear traditional Fijian dress - me dressed like driving miss daisy and Mark wearing a skirt! It was lovely though and they made us feel very welcome. Our last night on the Island was spent reuniting with the two couples we met on the previous island who had come and joined us. We had a few beers and got lots of very helpful tips on our New Zealand, Australia and Thailand trips, thanks guys x (Richard and Porti don't worry the kiss was from Christine not Mark!)

After leaving Fiji we arrived in Auckland today and have sorted our bus tickets and walked around the harbour. We're off to the Bay of Island tomorrow so we will update you in our next entry.

Hope all is well back in England, we're missing you all lots, speak soon, hope you enjoy the photos x

P.S Glad to see Everton won their last match! Can't wait to go to Austrailia to wind up the Aussies about the Ashes!

Fiji Bitter
Hongi, Sounds like you are having a top time so far with Fiji being a bit more laid back than the US. Did your volleyball skills improve whilst in Fiji? (I know you are into spiking Yardo) Did you have a go at the Kava? Me and Patti made it to Nabua lodge and I recall one of them saying that I was the most visibly attractive man that they had ever seen on the island, so I'm guessing that honour still stands now you have left for New Zealand! The cricket was good and we got some good weather in London so had a bbq and few drinks whilst watching it, which was nice (been watching repeats of the Fast Show recently). I went to Everton on Sunday (proper fan) and was buzzing afterwards, I think a last minute goal winning goal always papers over the cracks, but to be fair in the second half we battered them and their were some good performances, Saha, Fellaini and Rodwell being the pick, which was nice. Back in work after bank holiday today, so definitely hanging downwards at the moment. Have a great time in New Zealand and make sure that parachute is well packed and bunji rope is nice and tight. Take it easy. Oz

Have a great time!
Hello Christine and Mark! Lord, you two seem to be having a good time. Sorry about the delay posting but its been very busy in London village! Well, as I write this, Nicolas is on the sofa bed with his leg in a cast after having his operation - its not as bad as I feared and he's behaving well so thats all good! We had a great time in Provence and didn't get sunburned (for once) though it was 40 degrees! Not comparable to your adventures though! All is well here and the family are fine. We're actually watching a David A documentary about New Zealand now so to say we are jealous is something of an understatement! I'm well proud of both of you and am so pleased it's going so well! Don't forget to keep the blog posts coming and keep us informed of all your adventures ! Love always, Martyn x
