We spent a few days in Suva, Fiji's capital. After a frustrating first day, where we spent the whole time walking back and forth to the local jetty, organising our forthcoming jounrey to Kadavu Island, we spent a much more relaxing second day enjoying the local attractions. We visited the Fiji museum, where we learnt about everything from Cannabilism to Colonisation. Can you believe that canabilism was only wiped out 130 years ago in Fiji! If you're a Fijian, there's a good chance your great Grandma enjoyed knawing on human legs...! From the museum we wandered to the (dissolved, due to the Coup) Fijian parliament, along the way seeing a very hot looking guard outside the government buildings. When we got to the parliament, we sweet-talked the secuirty guards into letting us into the compound in order to get a better photo! We couldn't imagine the local bobby at No. 10 being so kind!

The following night we got our much delayed cargo boat to Kadavu Island.....
